Four local teenagers arrested for burglaries in Chesterfield

By:
Brian McDowell

The Chesterfield police on July 7 arrested four local teenage boys in connection to a series of morning burglaries. It is not yet known if the suspects are responsible also for a rash of burglaries that occurred across the city last week.

Police Officer Kim Huffman said there were thefts from a vehicle and a garage on Cypress Hill Drive and Aitken Hill Court. An officer who was in the area responding to the theft call spotted a suspicious van carrying the four teenagers in the neighborhood and pulled it over, and that is where the stolen property was recovered.

One of the teenagers is from Chesterfield and the other three are from Ballwin. Police said the suspects were being interviewed by detectives  regarding other recent burglaries in the city to see if they are, indeed, responsible for last week's burglary spree.
