Volunteers sought for Lake Saint Louis Review Board
The city of Lake Saint Louis is seeking volunteers to fill openings on the city's Architectural Review Board (LSL-ARB), according to Michael Pavlakes, chief building inspector.
"The purpose of the LSL-ARB is to ensure that proposed residential buildings and structures are visually compatible with their surroundings," Pavlakes said.
Lake Saint Louis has received national recognition multiple times because of its high standards at every level - the overall appearance being high on the list of City Hall's priorities.
To maintain the ongoing commitment to Lake Saint Louis' architectural standards, three volunteers are needed to fill openings to the review board. Pavlakes said there is a need for one regular member and two alternates.
The review board meets at 8 a.m., Tuesday, each week from April through September; and, biweekly October through March. Pavlakes said most LSL-ARB sessions last about 30 minutes.
Those interested in serving the city in a volunteer capacity are encouraged to contact the city via the Web site at lakesaintlouis.com where a "Committees/Boards" tab opens a download-able form titled, "Notice of Interest to Serve." Applicants may also pick up a form or make personal inquiries at the office of City Clerk Donna Daniel, Lake Saint Louis City Hall, 200 Civic Center Dr., or phone 625-1200.
