St. Charles County, regional work zones for June 25 through June 30

Drivers planning to go downtown this weekend should avoid I-70 if possible. All lanes of I-70 between St. Louis Avenue and Madison will close at 8 p.m., Friday, June 25 at 8 and will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, June 28. Detours will be posted on I-70. The construction work is part of the new interchanges for the New Mississippi River bridge.

Additionally, the I-70 reversible lanes closed June 23 for demolition of the St. Louis Avenue bridge and will remain closed for two months.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closure of Route 370 westbound  off  ramp to Spencer Road. It will be closed until Spring 2011.

The following is a list of daily interstate lane closures, weather permitting:

Friday, June 25

· I-70, St. Charles County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound Fifth Street at westbound I-70 off ramp.

Sunday, June 27
· I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one to two lanes closed westbound at Mid Rivers.
· I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one to two lanes closed westbound at Dardenne Creek.

 Monday, June 28
· I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one to two lanes closed westbound at Mid Rivers.
· I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one to two lanes closed westbound at Dardenne Creek.
· Route 40, St. Charles County, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane closed westbound from Lake St. Louis to I-70.
· I-70, St. Charles County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound Fifth Street at westbound I-70 off ramp.

Tuesday, June 29
· I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one to two lanes closed westbound at Mid Rivers.
· I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one to two lanes closes eastbound at Mid Rivers.
· I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one to two lanes closed westbound at Dardenne Creek.
· I-70, St. Charles County, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., eastbound I-70 on and off ramp closed at Cave Springs.
· Route 40, St. Charles County, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane closed westbound from Lake St. Louis to I-70.
· I-70,  St. Charles County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound Fifth Street at westbound I-70 off ramp.

 Wednesday, June 30
· I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one to two lanes closed westbound at Mid Rivers.
· I-70, St. Charles County, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., one to two lanes closed westbound at Dardenne Creek.
· I-70, St. Charles County, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., eastbound I-70 on and off ramp closed at Cave Springs.
· Route 40, St. Charles County, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. one lane closed westbound from Lake St. Louis to I-70.
