Mall puts local residents’ names in lights
It's not too late to see your name in lights.
CBL Properties still wants to know why you love to shop at Mid Rivers Mall.
More than 100 entries were received for the "Why Do You Love Mid Rivers Mall?" contest. The entries were compiled and posted on the new marquis signage visible from I-70. Shoppers will see their entry plus first name, last initial and city of residence on the board.
"Due to the great response and fun that we've had with the contest, we are going to continue to accept submissions through the end of May and will continue to display them on the board through May 31," said Amber Westerson, group marketing manager for CBL Properties, owner of Mid Rivers Mall.
Westerson said her personal favorite entry was from Dana G. in St. Peters.
"I have lived in St. Peters since 1986. I watched Mid Rivers Mall grow from Famous Barr into the diversified mall that it is today. It is our family 'go to' place for everything from haircuts, clothing, sporting goods, tools, entertainment with a night out at the movies, dining and specialties such as tuxedo rental. After working all week, it's comforting to know that there is no need to go over the bridge for anything. Mid Rivers Mall has it all!"
Angie Medlin from St. Peters was the lucky winner of the $100 gift card to the mall. Her name was drawn at random at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new sign on May 5.
Her submission was, "I love Mid Rivers Mall because of the great selection of stores, very affordable prices and it's very close to home!"
To submit an entry, simply stop by Customer Service at Mid Rivers Mall and fill out an entry form with why you love Mid Rivers Mall - in 20 words or less. Shoppers can also submit an entry online at ShopMidRiversMall.com and click on "Contact Us."
"Mid Rivers Mall is a very important and supportive member of the city of St. Peters," said St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano. "The mall consistently gives back to the area in many ways. This new sign is a wonderful enhancement to the shopping center, and it will serve as a welcoming beacon to all who travel within the St. Peters community."
