Even though the economy is down, don’t keep your kids down! Rockwood Adventure Club has a fun filled summer with field trips, speakers and tons of activities at an unbelievable price. Join them for 1 day or all 44 days, you choose! The program is available to all K-5th grade students throughout the St. Louis area from June 8 through August 7. Space is limited, so sign-up early. Andrews Academy Summer Program is a summer day camp for children entering pre-kindergarten through grade six in the fall. The camp is located on a wooded campus with an air-conditioned building and an in-ground pool offering campers a multitude of activities administered by experienced camp counselors. Activities include selected sports, outdoor education as well as performing arts and crafts. Karate is offered as an optional activity. Two five-week sessions are offered, running from mid-June to mid-August. Extended daycare is provided at no extra charge, both before and after camp hours.

The Andrews Academy Camp provides a variety of summer activities including field trips, swimming, sports, games, art, music, and outdoor games and team sports. Housed in their new 75,000 sq. ft.  air conditioned facility, they also feature  a modern computer lab, full gymnasium and performance area. Lunch, breakfast and two snacks daily are included in the tuition. The Camp staff is led by experienced, certified teachers who work at Andrews Academy Lake St. Louis during the school year. Baskin Farm Summer Camp offers a great opportunity for children to spend all day with horses. Campers learn hunt seat riding as well as how to care for horses and riding equipment. The experienced staff provides quality instruction with an emphasis on safety. Camp Taum Sauk is a family owned co-ed overnight camp on the Black River in Lesterville, MO., dedicated to creating positive, lasting impressions on children ages 8 to 15. With a strong concern for safety and an emphasis on individual attention, the experienced staff leads campers through a wide, exciting variety of experiences including horseback rides, mountain biking, caving, zip wire, giant swing, ropes course, wilderness skills, archery, riflery, creative arts, tennis and more. Children learn confidence in the water through Red Cross swim instruction in the pool. Other water activities include canoeing, kayaking, rafting, tubing, snorkeling and fishing. Dance Incorporated hosts two of the most exciting dance camps ever for ages 3 through teens. Whether trying out for the school dance team or just for fun, dance cheer and flip under the instruction of the field's highest professionals. Taught by former and current NFL cheerleaders, a Mizzou cheerleader, state champion and Mizzou gymnast. "Pom & Cheer" camp is March 16-17 and June 8-12. First Baptist Christian Academy is dedicated to provide quality care with age appropriate activities in a structured environment.  Their summer session will start on May 26 and continue through August 7.  The summer program is available for preschool (3 years of age) up to and including students that have completed the 5th grade.  Elementary student activities include Daily Bible Study, Weekly Chapel, Vacation Bible School and Skill Building as well as a weekly field trip.  Preschool through kindergarten aged children enjoy a structured class time, recess and on-campus activities.  Applications are currently being accepted.

Living Word Church offers fun summer programs for children in preschool through 5th grade. In June, the Living Word Early Childhood Center is sponsoring a circus themed four week summer camp for children ages 2-5. Mozingo Music offers five exciting summer camp programs. Beginner Group Guitar gives kids ages 8-13 an introduction to guitar fundamentals and music notation. Kids 10 and older have fun and gain experience by playing songs with other guitarists in Guitar Ensemble.  Rock Band 101, for ages 11-17, features a guided group session ending in a professional concert performance. Music Theory 1 and 2 gives beginner and intermediate musicians ages 12-adult an understanding of music fundamentals. Over the summer months, Midwest Music Conservatory will continue to offer private lessons, group lessons, theory classes and an ensemble program. Students may enroll with the Conservatory to study piano, guitar, voice, woodwinds, violin, cello and drums at an affordable rate with a professional instructor. Beginning in May, a new session will begin for their guitar and pop/rock ensembles. All students enrolled with their school may also sign up for their Saturday afternoon Theory classes, included with the price of tuition. Contact the Conservatory for information regarding summer classes, workshops, recitals and one-to-two week camps.
